New All Aluminum F150 takes on IIHS safety tests

I have been looking forward to more information about the new F150. This is a new venture for Ford and could spell disaster for such a well selling vehicle in their line up. Many people are concerned with the extra costs of maintenance and repair of the vehicle raising cost of ownership as well as insurance costs. Likely this is not the case after seeing the safety results from the IIHS tests. While the cost was 26% higher for repair the cab and safety of the occupant was higher then the old steel version of the truck. This will ultimately lower the medical cost side of insurance and therefor likely result in a net balance in insurance costs.
